Complaints Policy

If something has gone wrong, tell us. We would rather hear it from you than read it in a review.

How to raise a complaint

Call or WhatsApp 079 106 5911 and say that you are making a complaint, so it is logged as one rather than treated as a general query. WhatsApp is useful because you can send photos.

Complaints come to us directly. Even where the work was carried out by an independent locksmith under our Referral Marketing Disclosure, we do not hand you off to them to sort out alone.

What to have ready

When and where

The date of the job and the address or vehicle it related to.

What was done

What you asked for, what actually happened, and the name of the locksmith if you have it.

Photos, if relevant

For damage or faulty workmanship a photo settles most questions immediately.

What outcome you want

A repair, a return visit, a refund, or simply an explanation. Tell us and we will tell you honestly whether we can do it.

What we will do

We aim to acknowledge every complaint within one working day and to give you a substantive answer within seven working days. If it is going to take longer — because we need to speak to the attending locksmith, or arrange to inspect the work — we will tell you that and give you a date.

Where a fault is ours we will put it right at our cost. Where we do not agree that something is our fault, we will explain why rather than simply refusing.

If you are still not satisfied

Ask for the matter to be reviewed again and say why you disagree with the answer you were given. If we still cannot resolve it between us, you have external options and you do not need our permission to use them:

Consumer Goods and Services Ombud — for disputes about the service or workmanship, under the Consumer Protection Act.
National Consumer Commission — for complaints about conduct falling under the Consumer Protection Act.
Information Regulator of South Africa — for complaints about how your personal information was handled, as set out in our Privacy Policy.

Urgent safety issues

If a complaint means a property or vehicle has been left insecure, say so at the start of the call. We treat that as an emergency and deal with it before anything else, not through the complaints timeline above.
